In the 2023 UN-Habitat Lao PDR Country Report, the urgent need for urban transformation to address challenges such as urbanization, climate change, and inequality in Lao PDR is emphasized. Aligned with the Lao PDR Country Programme 2022-2026, UN-Habitat Laos has successfully implemented projects and interventions to enhance the resilience of urban systems and communities. Future efforts will focus on facilitating climate change adaptation planning and strengthening community resilience at national and sub-national levels.
